All Inland Northwest Drawing School classes are designed to be age appropriate and explore a variety of mediums and subjects.

Art Ready

Designed to prepare children for kindergarten and 1st grade in an art-learning environment.  Students draw, paint, cut and paste.  Lessons integrate literature, math, and science into art and fine motor activities.

Beginning Classes

Students learn representational drawing, and painting.  They are introduced to the seven elements of art (listed below) and art history.  Subjects include landscape, still life, animals, flowers, cartoons, faces, people, etc.  Mediums include watercolor, chalk pastels, oil pastels, colored pencil, pens, graphite, and acrylics.

Intermediate/Advanced Classes

Projects emphasize improvement in skills and mastery of techniques.  Students may follow the class project or work independently on their own.  A variety of mediums are available for the student’s use.
